Four-star hotels, luxurious cruise ships, high-rise buildings, exotic locales -all have been the focus of Scott B. Smith's camera lens during a 20-year career in photography.
Never without a camera, Smith has always had an eye for a great shot. His clients will tell you he takes pride in producing quality photographs, catering to each situation with a sense of professionalism and creative enthusiasm.
Scott began his career in photography after he left the United States Air Force. He credits his detail-oriented demeanor to his assignment as a flight mechanic on KC-135 Stratotankers. He earned his photojournalism degree with help from the G.I. Bill, and went on to photograph editorial subjects, special events and professional sports from the U.S. Ski Team to playoff coverage of various major league organizations.
His true passion is urban architecture - and challenges to interpret unique designs for the architect and builder. Another love is documenting historic structures, such as the Orange Bowl Stadium in Miami. After seventy years, The Orange Bowl will be no more, slated for demolition in March of 2008. He is currently documenting the last days of The Orange Bowl, samples of which can be viewed on this site.
An extensive traveler, Scott enjoys working on location, feeling comfortable in all parts of the world. Able to adapt to his surroundings, Scott's grace under pressure sets him apart. Scott's photography is also available for licensing through stock photography agency Index Stock ( www.indexstock.com ). He recently completed a gallery exhibit with Michael Joseph Artists’ Haven Gallery (www.artistshavengallery.com).
Scott is available to assist you on your photographic project, no matter the scope or budget. He shoots with the latest digital equipment, and also offers images in traditional film formats.
